I've spent a lot of time on this thankless job. As you well know, if done right these things really go unnoticed. However if one rod is just a fraction of a bubble off level EVERYONE offers advice on how to correct it.
I finally consented to allow shades to go into my office. With temperatures scratching 100 degrees they were necessary not only to blunt the early morning sun, but to cut down the radiation heating as well. My wife found a great deal on some curtains for the dining room and my task of hanging the brackets is complete. She is still fussing with the way they hang, pleats and general appearance. (Looks good to me.)
We got a letter today from the builder stating that they would like to schedule a day in August for the final inspection. We are to go through the house and make a list of anything we can find that 'just isn't right'. (This will follow the folks coming in to fix nail pops, cracks and other problems with wall board and finishing.) Impressive.
