The Bench

I'm not sure if that was the gust that did it, but at one point last night an easterly wind blew my bench over onto the asphalt driveway and shattered one of the cast iron legs. I had strapped it down with two bungee cords to protect it from west winds, but this storm blew out of the east. Broken beyond repair. sigh...

No shingles, siding or other debris was found anywhere in the yard, but I haven't completed a full inspection yet. The mailbox is still standing. I guess the improvements I made to secure the base were effective. That's a good thing.
