I sat in my office preparing for the next conference call when I heard pounding upstairs. At first I thought the washer had an unbalanced load, but as I got up to investigate it became clear that the noises were coming from outside. Two men were up on my roof replacing shingles. The builder had sent a team around the development to repair the damage caused by the high winds. As they finished my house the white van moved along to the next home, pulled the long ladder out and went back to work.
I had called a repair company to fix the siding so when a man knocked at my front door I assumed he was going to work on an estimate for the work required. Instead he asked for a small piece of siding he could use to match for replacements. Two days later I nearly jumped out of my chair as pounding began on the wall behind me. Again, the builder had taken responsibility to make the repairs. Last night Mariah returned and I recorded 30 MPH winds. The siding is still on so I think this incident over.
*Note: I had called the builder to insure I knew the right brand/specification of supplies to buy. I never expected them to take responsibility to fix my house. The difference here is the Project Manager. He is the face of the builder and personally takes pride in HIS development. He is proud of HIS work and it shows. One person can make a difference.
I also repaired the weather station. My thermo-hygrometer had failed and the company replaced it. The link at the left side of the page should take you to my weather station page.
