Today was cloudy, just a bit of rain or mist in the air and definitely a colder change in the weather. Another day to celebrate America. We exercised our right to go out to the polls, assemble and vote. We were greeted with numerous candidates signs from both parties, and since I was wearing a PSU ball cap one old guy tried to give a flyer noting that "Penn Staters' vote Democrat". As we waited one of the poll workers asked that we make way for an aged impaired man, very sick, who came out to vote. Wow, just inspiring that it meant so much to him. I was number 1075 at about 2:30 in the afternoon. The pollster said this was quite a heavy crowd, we had to wait less then 30 minutes.
I always feel good about voting.
“Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”
“A Republic, if you can keep it.”
