What gives a house 'character'? What elements make the house seem comfortable, or uninviting? Is it in the 'bones of the house' or is it the touches the family brings with it that seems to make a house 'livable'?
Well, one of those "things" was installed yesterday. A simple stair
railing supported by turned spindles at the bottom. This was just one of the very few options installed, yet it makes a huge difference to the appeal of the entry hall of this house. Most visitors might just think to themselves, 'It looks nice", but it is one of those special details - intangible, but providing the feeling that this is a nice house.
