Systems

Day 46 of the build:

Lots of things happening. Yesterday we met with the security and systems integrator and directed where the keypads, phone, cable, internet, intercom, and surround speakers should be placed. I had created a slide to help make decisions on where these components would go. The installation should happen next Wednesday.

The heater has been installed, along with a lot of ducting. Bathroom vents, dryer vent and other miscellaneous HVAC has been done.

The sidewalk going from the front door over to the driveway was drying as we did our systems walk through. Much of the siding is done. We have a problem with the roof which the PM thinks is caused by moisture from the house rafters. Heavy rain delayed the installation of the roof and while moisture may be the cause, the builder decided to bring in the roofing representative to insure no lingering problems.

The change for the pass through (elimination) has been approved, and I asked about stealing space form the large master closet to 'bump out' the wall in the 2nd bedroom. He will check with Engineering on that one.

We got a letter stating that our Pre-Inspection walk through is scheduled for Friday October 26th, with closing on Wednesday October 31st - Happy Halloween!
